Part 2Design, camera, battery, price of iPhone 7/7 Plus

In addition to the above iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus specs, below are additional features worth taking note of:

The Design

It is disappointing to note that there are no major differences in the physical design of the yet to be released iPhone 7 and its predecessor iPhone 6S. Maybe the only addition to the design would be the inclusion of a Pro versions of the phone unlike the predecessor which ended with the iPhone 6S Plus. Though still not confirmed, it is strongly believed that Apple will stick with only the iPhone 7 and iPHone 7 Plus models.

The other notable thing about the design is the absence of the 3.5mm headphone jack. This is conspicuously missing from the leaked photos and it is thought that Apple is slowly doing away with the legacy ports and media which have been around since the time of Sony’s Walkman in the late 1970s.

Camera

It is expected that Apple will step up the quality of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus cameras. Rumors intimate the iPhone 7 Plus will have the normal 5MP and 12MP front and rear cameras respectively, but additionally, it will be fitted with a double lens as well as 4K video recording capabilities.

Battery life

It is also believed that the yet to be released iPhone 7 models will come along with a healthy battery upgrade. Reports indicate that the iPhone 7 will be fitted with a 1,960mAh, which will be a 14% upgrade from the iPhone 6S’1,715mAh.

Prices for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

Apple has shown a record of keeping the prices of the past two releases stagnant and if the trend continues, the iPhone7 price and iPhone 7 Plus price may range from $791 to $1180, depending on the storage capacity.

Part 3The other commonly shared iPhone 7/7 Plus specs

Sapphire Glass- Apple may replace the Corning’s Gorilla glass in iPhone 6S with a sapphire glass in iPhone 7. Sapphire is tougher and doesn’t break easily and is currently used in iWatch by the same company.

Button-less Designs– it is expected that the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will feature a button-less design, thus eliminating the home button in the current models so as to provide more space on the screen.

Wireless Charging – Apple can’t afford to lag behind the likes of Samsung which already implement wireless charging capabilities in their recent releases. We expect to see Apple follow suit with the release of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

Improved iSight Cameras– to improve the quality of the pictures, it is rumored that Apple will use iSight cameras to make pictures brighter and clearer with the 12MP primary camera.

Water and Dust Proof – to enhance the protection of such premium devices, it is expected that iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be both water and dust proof. With the water proofing technology used, it is anticipated that the devices can stay submerged under water at a depth of about 1 meter for 30 minutes.

Water and Dust Proof– It is also rumored that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus may use OLED display technology instead of the usual LCD being used in the current models. OLED screens emit their own light to illuminate unlike LCD which requires back light in order to glow.

Conclusion

The release of the iPhone 7 models is already generating a lot of interest from different quarters and whether or the rumors are true, the world will soon find out when the actual release takes place in September 2016.
