In 2005, Amazon created a subscription service called Amazon Prime. This service allowed customers to pay a monthly or annual subscription fee to have their purchases delivered to them within 2-days. After a few years, Amazon began adding other benefits to Amazon Prime member including access to free eBooks, a subscription to Amazon Video on Demand, access to Prime Music and much more.
Amazon created Twitch Prime in 2016. It is a service that provides premium features for Twitch users who are also subscribed to Amazon Prime. Most of the features provided by Twitch Prime relate directly to Twitch, but there are also some other general features including discounts on games and free access to additional game content.

What Benefits Can I Get with Twitch Prime?
The main benefits of having Twitch Prime include:
1. Advertisements are removed from Twitch broadcasts
When clicking on a Twitch video stream, you will normally have to sit through a video advertisement before the stream starts. Advertisements may also appear mid-video. That’s not the case for Twitch Prime members, who can enjoy all videos without any advertisements. When using this feature, the streamer will still receive money from the ad impressions that would normally be shown — so you are still helping the channel you enjoy.
2. Access to In-Game Content
Twitch Prime will give you free access to free in-game content for major games like Fortnite, Call of Duty, Overwatch and Neverwinter. The content changes from month to month and includes skins, weapon packs, unique characters, and emotes. Current offerings include free loot cases for Call of Duty and a unique pet for Neverwinter.
3. Twitch channel subscription
Many Twitch channels give subscribers special emoticons, chat privileges, and badges. Subscribing to a channel usually requires a small monthly donation. Twitch Prime users receive a free channel subscription which they can use on a channel that they enjoy.
4. Exclusive Twitch chat features
Twitch Prime users have access to a number of unique emoticons including KappaHD and ScaredyCat. They will also be able to change their chat color by toggling a set of 3 sliders (RGB).
5. Member-Only Prime chat badge
There is nothing like a little bling to set yourself apart from other Twitch users! All Twitch Prime members have a unique Twitch Prime chat badge. This feature can be toggled on and off.
6. Free games
Every month, Amazon will add make some free games available for Twitch Prime subscribers. All free games are offered on a limited-time-only basis, so you must download them when they are available. Previous games have included Gone Home, Deponia, Drawful 2, Day of the Tentacle Remastered, and Titan Souls. This month, Amazon is offering Prime subscribers the chance to download Hue, Uurnog, Next UpHero, and GoNNER for free.
7. Discounts on physical copies of games
If you are the kind of person who likes to have physical copies of the games you own, you will like this last feature. Twitch Prime users obtain a 20% discount on physical copies of games bought from Amazon.
