Hi everyone! It’s Chloe from Wondershare Filmora here to empower your inner video creator. Do you like magic tricks? Earlier this month, we posted some videos on our Instagram and got many likes from you.

Today, we’re going to show you how to create these videos using Jump Cut and Smart Framing. Let’s go!

Number One: Magic cards.

Okay! Let me show you how to create this trick. To film this magic trick, we need to prepare three cards in different colors in the same size. Let’s set the mobile phone on a tripod to make sure the frame doesn’t move while filming. Then, start recording.

Let’s start with the blue card. I’m going to show both sides first and then flip it quickly. Keep the hand still. Replace a blue card with a green card. Now I’m going to repeat the flip. After this, I’m going to tap the green card on the table.

Again, I’m going to switch to an orange card without moving my hand. Tap the card to the table in the same spot one more time and put the orange card on the table and cover it with my hand. Now, I’m going to do one more switch. Replace the orange card with the blue card in the same spot and reveal it to the camera.

We did a few practices to get the final look right. So, feel free to spend more time here. Now, let’s bring this clip into Filmora 11 for editing.

Drag and drop the clip to the first video track. Move the playhead to the right and find where I flipped the blue card. Make a cut here. Then, let’s move the playhead to the right a bit more and find where I flipped the green card. Make a cut here. Delete the middle part.

Now, when we playback this part, it looks like the color changes while flipping. Then, I’m going to find the next spot on the timeline where I tap the table with the green card. Make a cut here and move to further right. Find where I tap the orange card on the table and make a cut again. Delete the middle part as well.

Lastly, let’s move the playhead to find this spot where I fully cover the orange card with my hand on the timeline. Make a cut. Then, move to the right and find the spot right before I lifted my head to review the blue card and cut here. Delete the middle part. Now let’s check on the result.

Number Two: Pen Drop.

Now, let’s see how the pen disappeared. To film this trick, I need to set the mobile phone on a tripod too so the frame doesn’t move while filming. Then, let’s start the trick.

I’m going to present the pen to the camera and put the pen in between my palms. Then rotate out hands like this to hide the pen from the camera. I’m going to lose my hand to drop the pen. The pen disappeared! Now, let’s bring the clip into Filmora 11 for editing.

Drag and drop the clip onto the first video track. Move the playhead to find the spot where the pen started dropping. I’m going to cut here. Move the playhead to the right and find where the pen dropped out of the frame. Cut here and delete the middle part. Alright! Let’s play back now and watch how the pen disappears.

Number Three: Trick Shot.

This trick is easy because we don’t have to edit later. Okay! Let’s create this trick now. To film it, we need two sets of swords or any objects you want to use in different colors. Set the mobile phone on the tripod to make sure the frame doesn’t move while filming.

When I start throwing the swords to the glass, Caleb drops the swords in the same color to it. Timing is very important here and make sure the source from the further subject doesn’t fall into the frame. This could take a few practices to have the best result.
