Cyberlink PowerDirector is a powerful video editing suite, but users can often experience MP4 compatibility issues. The software does have native support for MP4 formats, but if you are having with MP4 issues in PowerDirector, we can help you fix it.
Part 2: Reason to this incompatibility
The reason why you may be experiencing PowerDirector MP4 issues, is because the codecs in the MP4 files are not suppoerted. PowerDirector prefers MPEG-4 and H.264 codecs and not all MP4 files include these formats.
Any of these free video editing software tools will enable you to convert MP4 files that PowerDirector supports. Alternatively, why not use an alternative video editing suite that accepts a broader range of MP4 formats.
In our experience, the best video editing software we have come across is Wondershare Filmora. It has almost all the features you find in PowerDirector, and much easier.
Filmora supports the full range of MP4 file formats so you shouldn’t have compatibility issues with MP4 codecs. As a matter of fact, Filmora supports over 150 video formats including AVI, MOV, MKV, WMV, FLV and VOB so you should experience problems with any of your files.
The software is also much easier to use than PowerDirector as well. It has a highly intuitive interface and enables you to transfer videos straight to your mobile device or social networks including Facebook, YouTube and Vimeo.
What we also love about the Wondershare Filmora software is it makes editing videos fun and easy. Not only that, there are more useful features as well – certainly more than other video editing suites we have used.
For example, the software comes with 25 royalty free pieces of music and a library of special effects and over 50 sound effects. You can add filters and overlays, text and titles and motion elements that simply drag and drop into your video.
The advanced features also give you access to editing tools that are usually reserved for professional video editing software. You can layer multiple clips, spilt screens, detect scenes and fine-tune audio files.
So if you are having PowerDirector MP4 issues, why not check out Filmora. You will resolve your problem and get loads of other stuff you didn’t even know you wanted.
