AI Smart Masking in Wondershare Filmora means that you can foreground objects and subjects from the background in images and videos. It utilizes advanced AI algorithms to identify objects and generate accurate masks. With the auto-masking function, users can get a smart brush option to create the masking with a single brush. You don’t have to mask the edge of objects with your hands.
Anyone can use this feature to effortlessly mask their images and video. Let’s explore in detail how you can get the maximum out of this feature.
Set Up Filmora 13 in Your System
Download and launch the newer version of Filmora in your system. To do so, visit the official website of Wondershare Filmora and get the Filmora Version 13. Successfully install this software and enter the main home screen to start working on the project.
Access the AI Mask and Use Smart Brush
After importing your project in the timeline, navigate to the "Mask" tool and find the new "AI Brush." It will automatically select the subject and object. You can get a preview if your video has multiple subjects to mask. From the drop-down, you have the option to select the "Smart Brush" to choose an object while excluding other elements.
Customize the Mask by Using AI Mask Panel
Scroll down to find the "AI Mask Panel" and use the "Extend" slider to expand or narrow down the mask. You can also use the "Blur Strength" slider to soften the mask edges and adjust the opacity by using the opacity slider.
To further modify the mask, click on the AI Mask and adjust the mask by selecting its points. Users can track the mask’s movement by tapping the "Path" button and importing another mask through the "Add Mask" option.
AI Mask Applications
Apply AI mask to images that are used to create transitions, 3D texts, background removals, thumbnails, and to emphasize objects. Finally, you have applied the mask and are free to further edit your project or export by using the "Export" button.
