Audio Audio Ducking

Audio ducking means lowering the volume of things like background music in order for your dialogue to be heard more clearly. Here are the steps about how to apply it.

1 Select the clip or clips you want to apply audio ducking to (select the clips you want to hear more clearly, not the ones you want to lower the volume on).

2 Click on the video in the timeline, and you will see the Audio Ducking button in the Audio section on the right panel. Simply turn it on.

3 Find the Duck Amount option and drag the slider to adjust the volume. The default ducking value is 50%.

Now, you can also fine-tune your audio transitions for a more professional sound.

  • Fade Position: Adjust the exact start time of the ducking effect.
  • Fade Duration: Control the length of the fade-in and fade-out to create a gradual or quick transition.
