Step 1. Locate Boris FX Effects
Open Filmora on your Mac and import the clips you plan to edit. Once your media is inside the timeline, go to Effects > Boris FX. If you want additional details before installing, simply select Learn More to read about the available Boris FX features.

Step 2. Download and Install Boris FX
To activate the toolset, download the Boris FX plugin package by pressing the Download Now button. Because the installer is roughly 500 MB, the download may take a few minutes on macOS, so allow it to complete without interruption.

Step 3. Finish Downloading the Plugin
When the installation finishes, follow the instructions on your Mac screen and click Restart Now so Filmora can load the new effects correctly.

Step 4. Open the Mocha Filmora Effect
After Filmora relaunches, look to the left panel and select Mocha Filmora. Add it to your video with the + icon. Then, in the right-side panel, choose Launch Mocha UI to open the Mocha tracking environment on your Mac.

Step 5. Create an X-Spline Layer
Inside Mocha, use the top toolbar and open the Tools menu. Select Create X-Spline Layer, then draw your shape directly on the preview window. End the outline by right-clicking to confirm the selection.

Step 6. Apply the Function You Need
Mocha Filmora on Mac offers multiple operations, such as text warping, planar tracking, stabilization, and more. For stabilization, define the selection and go to the Stabilization panel. Enable options like Maximum Smoothing and adjust settings as needed, then click the Play button under the preview to render the stabilized result.

Step 7. Add Boris FX Effects
Return to Effects > Boris FX to view and test the available presets. Options may include BCC Plus Streaks, BCC Plus Relight, and others. Choose + to apply an effect or drag it directly onto the timeline track above your video to preview it instantly.

Step 8. Customize Boris FX Effects
Use the right-side settings panel to fine-tune controls such as Noise, Flicker and more. If deeper adjustments are needed, click FX Editor to access the dedicated editing interface for the selected effect.

Step 9. Remove Boris FX Effects
There are two simple ways to delete a Boris FX effect on Mac:
Method 1. Click the effect on the timeline and press Delete from the toolbar.

Method 2. Right-click the effect in the timeline and choose Delete.
