Steps to Use Compositing
Using the compositing tools in Filmora for Mac is simple and efficient. Follow the steps below to combine clips and customize their appearance with blending and opacity controls:
Step 1. Create a New Filmora Project
Open Filmora on your Mac and select the New Project option from the startup screen. Import the videos you want to combine and drag them onto separate tracks within the timeline for editing.

Step 2. Access and Customize the Compositing Feature
Select the video layer from the timeline and navigate to the Property panel located in the upper-right corner. Under the Video section, open the Basic tab and scroll until you locate the Compositing option. From there, apply a blending mode and adjust the opacity slider to control how the clips blend together.

Step 3. Apply Keyframes for Dynamic Effects
Now, head to the timeline and place the playhead from where you want to add a keyframe on the video track. Click the Diamond-shaped Keyframe icon beside the compositing controls or opacity settings. Change the position of the playhead and change the compositing settings, click on the Keyframe icon again to create animation. Once done, hit the Export button to save the results.
