Split & Cut Videos on Mac
Filmora’s Split & Cut Videos feature allows users to remove unwanted sections and divide long footage into smaller, manageable clips with precision. Using the timeline editor, creators can quickly split videos at specific frames or cut out unnecessary parts without affecting the overall quality. This feature is ideal for trimming mistakes, shortening content, creating highlights, or rearranging scenes for smoother storytelling.
Steps to Use Split and Cut
The Split & Cut tools help streamline the editing workflow and create polished videos with accurate transitions and clean edits. To learn how to use these functions, read the steps provided below:

Step 2. Split the Video Using the Timeline
Move the red playhead to the exact frame where you want to divide the video clip. After positioning it correctly, right-click on the clip and choose the Split option from the menu to separate the video into two parts.
